A Little More About Our Coaches…

Director of Coaching – Mick Smith
Born: Leicester, England – 1/4/1980

Mick Smith founded Far Post Soccer in 2001. His teams are characterized by strong technical ability and good organization, composed of intelligent players who understand the game – able to make their own decisions on the field, and capable of competing at the national level. Many have graduated from his program into strong collegiate soccer.  Mick has a strong playing background growing up playing in for various equivalent state champions’ teams as well as playing for Leicester boys. After leaving high school he lived briefly in USA and then Australia, before moving to New Jersey in 2000, where he continued to play through the USL professional league system in the US combining both coaching and playing.

Author of “Attacking with Three Players” The first 3v3 soccer book written with concepts that will shape individual technical excellence and effective combination play.
